Hello everyone, it's Yongyong.

Are you all enjoying these days full of spring in full bloom?

After releasing my first studio album, I've been immersed in writing a lot of songs and exploring new sounds, surrounded by all sorts of questions and exclamations about my music and art.

During this period, I delved deep into studying everything about Yongyong, even down to the grains of sand at the bottom of the ocean. Naturally, I came across the culture and history of punk, and learning more about it, I found many aspects that I couldn't help but fall in love with—it was incredibly fascinating.

So, in this album, I've retained the melodic emotion and narrative lyrics typical of my previous work but infused them with punk elements.

Caramel, strawberries, silver-colored nails, broken hearts and locks, Kitty, and even band-aids—all these things I love, they also represent me. (I realize I love quite a lot of things.)

I’ve always felt that if I couldn't do music or art, I might as well not live at all, which inspired some of the lyrics in this album.

As this was my first time handling punk, as soon as I started writing the song, I knew I wanted to work with Sungwoo from No Brain, a leading figure in Korean punk. I believed only he could perfect this track, and thankfully, he was delighted to collaborate. It was truly an honor, and thanks to him, I’ve grown to love rock and punk even more. I also deeply appreciate how warmly he's looked after me, a much junior artist. Thank you again, senior!

"Psychopath" is a song I wrote on a day I was very angry, wondering if I was a psychopath myself. In the middle of the song, I was so mad that I couldn't think of any lyrics; my mind was just blank with rage. You can meet a metallic punk Yongyong that matches my new red hair perfectly.

I've always wanted to recreate the ending track of the 'Star Rain' concert, and it looks like it's finally here. You'll all chant along at the concert, right? I'll be waiting and will definitely pass the mic to you!

This album has taught me a lot and made me reflect deeply. Both songs remind me of the relief I felt, like singing my heart out in a karaoke room. Please enjoy the new sounds of Yongyong.
