Pianist Seong-Jin Cho returns with the works of French Impressionist composer Maurice Ravel, marking his first album since The Handel Project (2023). This is the first time Cho has dedicated an entire album to the complete works of a single composer, showcasing his deep exploration and interpretation of Ravel's music.

The album, a solo piano collection, features Gaspard de la Nuit, Le Tombeau de Couperin, Miroirs, Pavane pour une infante défunte, and Jeux d’eau, offering a comprehensive insight into the artistic depth of Ravel's solo piano repertoire.

Ravel's distinctive and extraordinary sound provides an ideal outlet for Cho's technical and expressive artistry. As Cho himself has said, “I’ve always been fascinated by the variety of ideas, colors, and emotions in Ravel’s music.” This album conveys his profound admiration and affection for Ravel's works.

The release is particularly meaningful as 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Seong-Jin Cho’s victory at the Chopin Competition and his debut album with Deutsche Grammophon.
