In 2018, one of the most anticipated groups, Stray Kids, will officially debut on March 26 with their album 'I am NOT' and title track 'District 9'. The nine members—'Bang Chan', 'Woojin', 'Lee Know', 'Changbin', 'Hyunjin', 'HAN', 'Felix', 'Seungmin', and 'I.N'—come together as a unified group striving for limitless growth. Stray Kids is stepping onto the global stage amid high expectations from music fans worldwide.

In October 2017, Stray Kids made a strong impression on JYP Entertainment and Mnet’s reality program 'Stray Kids', where the members participated in various aspects of the production process, from songwriting and producing to concept and performance.

Before their official debut, Stray Kids released their pre-debut album 'Mixtape' in January, which topped iTunes album charts in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the Philippines, proving their hot overseas popularity. Additionally, Billboard named Stray Kids as the #1 artist to watch in their 'Top 5 New K-Pop Artists to Watch in 2018', further heightening their recognition as one of the year's most promising rookies.

Their debut album, I am NOT, is also their first mini-album, featuring eight tracks, all of which were self-composed. The album title, meaning 'I am NOT', represents the group’s awareness and the beginning of their unfolding musical identity.

The title track, 'District 9', portrays Stray Kids' own hideout. The song's message—about breaking out of standardized systems and building their own unique space—perfectly aligns with the group's name. The bold lyrics express their ambition to turn everything upside down in their special district. The track combines hip-hop, rock, and EDM to deliver an adrenaline-filled sound.

Track 1, 'NOT!', captures the theme of the album in a hip-hop song, blending cyberpunk sound design with trap beats.

Track 3, 'Mirror', explores themes of self-identity, questioning 'Who am I?' through dynamic rapping and varied vocals.

Track 4, 'Awaken', is based on rock sounds, expressing the desire to break free from one's own limitations. It builds on the realization of 'I am NOT' and continues the group's autobiographical journey.

Track 5, 'ROCK (돌)', features witty lyrics that convey the frustration of identity confusion, humorously wishing to become a 'rock'. The wordplay and powerful sound work harmoniously.

Track 6, '잘 하고 있어', is a warm, emotional hip-hop track that offers messages of comfort and encouragement.

Track 7, '3rd Eye', an R&B song, expresses a desire to see oneself through a 'third eye', a new perspective that resonates deeply with their peers.

Track 8, 'Mixtape#1', is a special CD-only song with 'placebo effect' as its keyword. Stray Kids chant 'We can rise' while delivering an uplifting feeling through lighthearted sounds, reflecting their bright and positive mindset.
