BTOB's Lim Hyunsik returns with his second solo mini-album [The Young Man and the Deep Sea] on February 5, 2024, exploring the vastness of the sea and its resemblance to the stories of 'I'. Following his mini 1st album [RENDEZ-VOUS], this comeback, after approximately five years, has garnered anticipation for the stories he will share. While his previous album earnestly sang his unique narratives against the backdrop of the universe—covering meetings, connections, human relationships, and love—this album delves deeper into his musical world, themed around the 'sea', viewed through his eyes.

The album, inspired by Lim Hyunsik's ambition to create a sea-themed album since his first solo song 'SWIMMING', was led by him in every aspect. Filling the album with his own compositions, Lim Hyunsik was involved in the album concept, design, and even the planning of the music video, hoping the meaning he finds in the 'sea' sincerely reaches the audience.
