The sea speaks in waves.

From before we are born, we learn when it feels joy, when it rages, and when it's somber. Its heart and words shape us, and through life, we glide and stop, repeatedly. If this state persists, we might find ourselves stuck in the middle, unable to move, or alas, sinking deep to the bottom where loneliness becomes the default, filling our lungs.

From the depths, we swim hard towards the surface, from the center to the edges, to meet and merge. Born in water, aiming for land, we plan to meet you on shore and dive back in together, not intending to die, yet dying because we must— choosing to love as if to die.
